The World Cup in 2022, hosted in Qatar has raised a lot of eyebrows, not least for the spine melting temperatures which the players will need to contend with. Authorities claimed they could control the climate of the stadia, and rumours of air conditioned stadia were rife. However, Qatar believe they have invested in a possible solution (without using superheroes to change the climate of the area) Remote Controlled Clouds.
Remote controlled clouds are being developed as part of the potential solution to the heat, each solar powered cloud is constructed out of light carbonic materials and will be fully remote controlled, the cost? A cool $500,000 per cloud. Having these deployed above the stadia will allow for the filtering of the UV rays, and also to control the temperature inside the ground to a certain degree.
Technology in football? I’m sure Mr Blatter will have something to say about this!
