Fantasy Premier League tips – Gameweek 12

You just can’t afford to not have him at the minute – image from

For Gameweek 12 we’re going to stick out neck out and back Manchester United. Hardly controversial advice, but with games against Norwich and QPR to come for the Red Devils, how can you afford not to back Fergie’s troops?! For those looking at a more affordable side to back, why not consider Fulham?

Martin Jol’s side ought to be favourites against struggling Sunderland this weekend and Dimitar Berbatov (£7.5m) is obviously a man bang in form right now. Fulham also boast a fairly decent home record defensively so you’d be wise to consider Aaron Hughes (£4.5m), particularly with Chris Baird out injured. It’s also worth pointing out the impressive form of Bryan Ruiz (£5.9m).

Back to United and there is absolutely no way in hell they will get anything else but 12 points before they face Manchester City on December 9. With that in mind, get on Sir Alex’s boys! We all know the obvious choices of course, but it could also be worth considering those who always seem to score highly when given their chance, since we know United will smash their next four Premier League fixtures. We like Rafael Da Silva (£6.4m), Antonio Valencia (£8.6m) and of course, Javier Hernández (£7.7m).

Others worth considering

We also rate Newcastle, Everton and Arsenal over the next couple of fantasy footy gameweeks. Theo Walcott (£8.7m) just loves to score against Spurs and while he and Olivier Giroud (£8.4m) may be a slight doubt this weekend, we think it could be worth the gamble.

Everton and Newcastle don’t look like slipping up too much at the minute and at the risk of repeating ourselves, we think it’s a massive gamble to be overlooking Marouane Fellani (£7.6m), Nikica Jelavić (£8.5m) and Demba Ba (£8.3m).

Obviously, with the form they’re in, Kevin Nolan (£6.9m) and Luis Suárez (£10.1m) are not to be ignored. You can also ill afford to write off Manchester City right now, and we’re getting back on the Sergio Agüero (£11m) and Dave Silva (£9.3m) bandwagon.

Best of luck
